When you plan an outdoor wedding many months in advance, as far as the weather is concerned, anything can happen. On this particular day, we had rain move in about an hour before the ceremony start time, we had equipment failure, we had just plain equipment stubbornness (sometimes devices just don't want to talk to each other), and well, we had more rain. Courtney and her staff at Dye's Walk did a wonderful job of providing everything they could to help make the day go smoothly. In the end, it all worked out fine. I think the photos below will give a good example of what we faced, and how well Sarah and John remained positive and happy. We wish them a long and happy life together! As always, please leave comments for Sarah and John.

We were back in Bloomington recently for Adam and Jessica's wedding at Fountain Square Mall. I remember thinking, "a wedding in a mall?" After attending the rehearsal, I realized that this wasn't an ordinaly mall. Most of the old stores that lined the south side of the square have been joined, opened up, and remodeled to create a very interesting space. The fountain is in the basement area with lighting from above and is really nice. There is a large banquet room on the third floor that is used for receptions, etc. Adam and Jessica actually had their ceremony, and reception in that banquet room, and it worked out fine. We shot photos outside the courthouse, several areas around the mall, including an old red phone booth, and went to the top of a parking garage for some sunset photos. Below are just a few of the photos we captured. As always, feel free to leave comments for Adam & Jessica!

Jeremiah & Audrey got hitched last Saturday at Sycamore Farms down in Bloomington, Indiana. Bloomington is our home town, so it's always nice to shoot a wedding there. This was our first time shooting at this location, and I look forward to coming back some day. It's a very nice venue with lots of places for photos. Everyone from the owners to the staff were very nice to us, so we say thank you to them!

Jeremiah & Audrey's wedding had a candy theme. I have to say, it took a lot of work and planning to get this done. Even Audrey's earrings looked as though they were covered with sprinkles. I was told, she even created the shoes she wore...amazing creativity.

It was such fun to be with Jeremiah & Audrey on their special day! Despite the wind and cold conditions, they were too excited and happy to worry about being cold. We spent several minutes after the ceremony walking around the grounds getting some great shots. Please enjoy the "teaser" photos below while I finish working on the rest of their wedding photos. As always, feel free to leave comments for Jeremiah & Audrey to enjoy!

After all these years of photographing weddings we finally got the opportunity to photograph one at Central Library, downtown Indianapolis. In fact, before this wedding I had never even been to the Central Library. Thanks to Erik (the staff event planner), we were able to explore all of the library. The ceremony was outside in the East Garden, which was great for an evening wedding. We took photos in the West Reading Room, on the main entry steps, and enjoyed a great reception in the Atrium. Many thanks to Corey, Lindsey, Pam, and everyone else that had a hand in planning this wedding! As usual, when working my way through each wedding, I find a few photos that I like to share first. Below are some of my "photographer's" favorites. Feel free to leave comments for Corey & Lindsey to enjoy.
